Academic Services Division This is a full-time fixed-term position ( Job share arrangements may be considered) through to June 2025 with salary in the range $89,861.38 - 96,402.32 (HEW 6), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity As a Senior Administration Officer within our Examinations team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of digital examinations across the University. Oversee Examination Operations : Manage the day-to-day activities of the Examinations team, ensuring processes align with University policies and procedures. Provide High-Quality Support: Deliver exceptional administrative services to support central examination operations across all campuses. Drive Innovation : Contribute to the implementation of new initiatives that support the University's strategic objectives. Key responsibilities will include: System management Oversee system configuration, ensure accurate data production, and identify opportunities for enhancements to improve efficiency and processes. Recruit and train staff, troubleshoot system issues, and collaborate with other teams to resolve complex problems. Implement system upgrades and test new features. Resource Management Identify and book suitable venues for exams, coordinate logistics for setup and teardown, and ensure backup equipment is readily available. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth exam operations. Administration and Support Supervise the Examinations team, ensuring efficient operations and providing support to the coordinator. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and collaborate with other university units. Assist with system configuration and data management for exam events. Coordinate the allocation of specialized supervisors and ensure timely release of digital examination materials to the Library. Please Note - The Examinations Section requires work to be undertaken outside of normal hours and on Saturdays during examination periods. Leave ban periods are in place in the months of June to July and November to December covering the examination preparation and examination periods. Leave restrictions may also be applicable during April and September covering the mid-semester examination periods. Job share arrangements may be considered. About You Hold a relevant degree or equivalent with relevant experience. Demonstrate strong organizational and administrative skills, with a focus on accuracy and detail. Possess a high level of competence in system data management and utilize a wide range of computer applications effectively. Exhibit excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Collaborate effectively within a team and proactively contribute to achieving goals. Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to supervise and develop staff in a service-oriented environment. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address issues in a time-pressured environment. Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new processes and procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
