About the role Provide professional and efficient Telecommunications services to both internal and external clients Contact staff as needed for emergency codes, on call arrangements and security assistance Operate switchboard systems such as Alcatel OmniVista, DECT phones, emergency phones Provide 24/7 service through working a rotational roster Perform routine clerical duties and training as necessary or as directed by the manager About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Manage all telecommunications procedures including emergency codes and maintain thorough knowledge of these procedures. Monitor communications equipment including Outlook, Fire Alarm mimic panel, Duress Alarm monitor and respond to activated alarms according to procedure. Provide initial fault resolution for telephones and pagers including issuing temporary hardware to replace faulty units and providing training if required. Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
