The Role Our client is in a dynamic phase of growth, boasting strong multidisciplinary coverage. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer position within our Brisbane team. This role is pivotal as our client expands their mechanical discipline capabilities in response to a growing project pipeline. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting and delivering a range of greenfield and brownfield projects, with a focus on mechanical and piping design, project management, and stakeholder coordination. Key Responsibilities Provide design and engineering input for various projects, from concept through to commissioning. Undertake mechanical and piping design tasks and generate engineering deliverables in line with project and statutory requirements. Interpret and work with technical documentation including specifications, drawings, and reports. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, addressing potential issues proactively. Manage multiple projects, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs. Prepare calculations, reports, and technical evaluations, and develop scopes of work for tender processes when needed. Conduct risk assessments and design reviews, ensuring environmental and safety compliance throughout the engineering process. Assist with construction and commissioning, including occasional site-based work. Key Criteria Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 7 years' experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in construction, mining, minerals processing, power, or similar heavy industries. Proven experience in mechanical and piping design, with materials handling and design experience in mineral processing plants being advantageous. Strong understanding of design principles, calculation formulas, and mechanical methods & processes. Familiarity with AS, ISO, or similar standards.
