The Customer Service Agent works across the Energy Rebates & Bill Relief or Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Assessment teams to deliver high quality customer service and administration to low-income, vulnerable and hardship customers. In this role, you will receive and enter customer applications, check customer eligibility against an existing framework, and communicate with customers via phone calls and emails. The role works collaboratively within a team environment. To be successful in the role, ideally you will have: High quality customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced call centre environment. Excellent communication skills and empathy, with a pro-active and can-do attitude. Attention to detail, work with integrity and a commitment to meeting performance standards. For more information read the full Role Description: Agent About the Team The Energy, Climate Change & Sustainability (ECCS) Group within DCCEEW leads strategic policy, programs and major initiatives on renewable energy and energy security, climate change and environmental sustainability. The Energy Social Programs Branch within ECCS designs, delivers, governs and reviews NSW Government programs that support low-income households and small businesses to pay their energy bills and stay connected to essential services. This includes up to $1.5 billion worth of programs in the financial year 2024-25 which includes. The existing $435 million Energy Social Programs , including six energy rebates and one crisis support scheme, and The extended $1.1 billion National Energy Bill Relief Fund to support every household and small business in NSW, funded by the Commonwealth Government and delivered by the NSW Government.
