Position Overview: As a Senior Estimator, you will play a vital role in their pre-construction process, ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates for fitout and commercial education projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop comprehensive bids that align with their company’s standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for fitout and commercial education construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop accurate and competitive estimates. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand the scope and requirements of each project. Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to gather essential information. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness. Identify potential risks and opportunities within the project scope and provide value engineering solutions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, construction methods, and material costs. Prepare and present estimate reports to senior management and clients. About You: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in estimating within the fitout and commercial education construction sectors. Senior Estimator Experience Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques. Proficiency in estimation software and tools (Qubit and Estimate One). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
