The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced receptionist to join our Cochlear Care Centre in Geelong. Our Geelong centre delivers clinical assessment of candidates for suitability for implantable solutions, and support following surgery. This is a permanent opportunity for a part-time Medical Receptionist (3 days per week) to join our new Cochlear Care Centre in Geelong. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for organising and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure clinic effectiveness and efficiency. This role will often be patients’ first point of contact with the clinic, and play an integral part in forming positive relationships in the community. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for: Medical Reception Being the first point of contact for all customers within the clinic. Managing phone and email inquiries along with all appointment Scheduling Invoicing and Billing Processing payment for parts and services – EFTpos, NDIS, DVA and Medicare Spare Parts/Troubleshooting - Maintain stock at the CCC for both Hearing Australia clients and private patients as per CCC ‘Kanban’ system. In consultation with the Cochlear Care Centre Manager manage the exchange of parts at ‘switch on’ deemed unsuitable and check for completeness of orders of implant systems and remedy errors in supply. Provide and record/document device troubleshooting assistance to clients in person, over the phone and/or via email Provide spare parts where possible to keep patient ‘on air’ or advise of available support options from Hearing Australia or Cochlear. Liaise with audiologists regarding issues that require their expertise. Refer client to audiologist for any billable testing associated with troubleshooting. Ensure demo devices are charged. Education Support recipients in optimal use of their new equipment Support and facilitate programs run by the clinic to enhance recipient’s awareness and use of technology solutions as required Ensure device and technology knowledge is up to date and ensure best customer service including offering and guiding with our remote care tools Complete and attend training as required. Other Administrative Tasks Provide general administration support to the staff within the Geelong Centre, and for East Melbourne and South Eastern Cochlear Care Centre’s as needed You Bring Your Skills and Experience As we grow our operations, we are looking for people with highly specialised skills and capabilities who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers.
