Electricians required for a solar farm project handle wiring, install inverters and switchgear, test systems, ensure grounding, document work etc. MUST BE ABLE TO COMMENCE ASAP Please be aware that this work will be quite labour-intensive and physically demanding. Specifically, you will spend considerable time working underneath the solar panels. Unlike other solar farms where panels are typically at head height and easily accessible, the panels at Port Hedland are situated lower, which can make the tasks more challenging. Our client urgently requires 30x electricians to start work on a Solar Farm in Port Hedland. The project is offering approximately 2 months of work, with the possibility of transitioning to another Solar Farm project in QLD or NSW afterwards. Our client is also open to considering a limited number of overseas trade-qualified electricians who currently hold a WA provisional licence. A-Grade Electricians: $75ph flat rate super (Perth based only) $70ph flat rate super (interstate candidates) Flights, accommodation, and meals provided (or allowance given) 3:1 or 2:1 roster (Perth only for 2:1) 2 months work with option to transfer to another project Perth-based Provisional Electricians: $55ph flat rate super Flights, accommodation, and meals provided (or allowance given) 3:1 or 2:1 roster 2-4 months work with option to transfer to another project Must haves: WA A-Grade Electrical Licence (or applied for a WA Electrical Licence with proof of receipt) or Provisional Electrical Licence Construction White Card LVR / CPR (within 1 year) Available to complete a medical and drug and alcohol screen Ability to complete site inductions and candidate onboarding Available to commence over the next few weeks Physically demanding work Key Responsibilities: Install and connect DC/AC wiring between panels, inverters, and grid connections. Lay conduits and cables in trenches, ensuring protection and safety. Mount and connect inverters, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection systems. Perform electrical tests (continuity, insulation resistance, voltage). Assist in system commissioning, powering up, and troubleshooting. Document all work and ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards. Collaborate with other trades on-site to integrate electrical systems smoothly.
