Role: We are seeking an experienced SMP Construction Manager to oversee one of our key projects in the Pacific. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SMP installations and a proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.The applicant must be prepared to consider FIFO rosters. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of SMP construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Lead and manage a team of engineers, supervisors, and construction workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Develop detailed construction project plans and schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. Plan and organise construction and fieldwork activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks. Develop and utilise work packs to manage construction crews effectively, ensuring all necessary information, materials, and instructions are provided for each task. Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety on-site. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets the required specifications and standards. Act as one of the primary points of contact for clients, providing regular construction updates, reporting, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly. Manage resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and labour, to optimize project efficiency. You will have: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/ or Construction (advantageous). Previous mill installation or maintenance experience. Demonstrated capability on SMP Construction projects. Strong leadership and communication teams. Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects. Proven ability to develop and implement construction methodologies. What we are offering: Supportive operations team.
