We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Disabilities Services Officer to join our team. Position Overview: As a Disabilities Services Officer, you will play a key role in assessing client needs and implementing tailored support programs. You will work directly with individuals to address social, emotional, and financial challenges, while liaising with community groups and agencies to promote awareness and access to services. Key Responsibilities: Assess clients' needs and create customized educational, training, and support programs. Conduct interviews with clients to understand the extent of their challenges and difficulties. Monitor and report on client progress, providing feedback and making adjustments as needed. Refer clients to relevant agencies for additional support services. Evaluate community needs and resources in areas such as health, welfare, housing, employment, and training. Collaborate with community organizations, government bodies, and private businesses to address community issues and promote available resources. Provide support to families and care for individuals with disabilities in various settings, including group homes and institutions. Supervise individuals on probation and parole, ensuring compliance and support. Assist young people in resolving social, emotional, and financial challenges. Prepare funding submissions and resource reports for government agencies and other organizations. Requirements AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience OR AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience. Full-time working rights in Australia or a valid visa with full work rights. At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
