Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of transmission network expansion projects. Conduct power system analysis and grid simulations. Develop and optimise grid connection strategies for renewable energy projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate risks. Ensure compliance with NER (National Electricity Rules) and other regulatory standards. Provide technical support for grid integration of renewable energy sources. Oversee project timelines and ensure milestones are met. Evaluate and improve grid reliability and stability. Develop detailed technical reports and documentation. Liaise with stakeholders, including AEMO and transmission network service providers. Implement innovative solutions to enhance transmission efficiency. Monitor and analyse grid performance data for continuous improvement. Support the development of long-term grid planning strategies. Contribute to the advancement of Australia’s clean energy goals. Lead technical workshops and training sessions for junior engineers. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in grid planning or transmission. Strong understanding of NER and AEMO guidelines. Proficient in power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, DigSILENT). Experience with renewable energy integration and grid connection processes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to work on large-scale infrastructure projects. Familiarity with Australian electricity market regulations. Current Australian working rights required (no sponsorship available).
