About the role Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide technical support to ensure the mine development and production activities and all active mine areas remain at an acceptable level of risk from geotechnical hazards. You will ensure compliance with all legislative and statutory requirements, as well as internal company management standards Manage and coordinate geotechnical activities and requirements on site Providing key geotechnical input into mine design, planning and daily activities Providing geotechnical support to mining engineers, geologists and operations personnel Complete reporting and effective business improvement and risk management activities Liaise closely with all operational and technical teams to ensure compliance is maintained with regards to costs and productivity for delivering mining physicals About You Relevant experience in a similar role in an underground metalliferous mine (hard rock) Tertiary qualified Geotechnical Engineer, Geologist, Mining Engineer, or Civil Engineer Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Competent user of relevant mining software Experience in bulk mining methods Remnant mining experience Experience in backfilling methods such as cemented rock fill (CRF) and paste fill as well as practical knowledge of backfill instrumentation. One hundred percent owned and operated by Aeris Resources, Tritton forms the cornerstone of Aeris copper production. Tritton comprises an underground mining complex feeding a 1.8 million tonne per annum conventional processing plant. Copper concentrate produced at the operation is railed to the Port of Newcastle for export to customers internationally. The current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
