About the role We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineering Officer – Commercial Infrastructure to join our Customer and Commercial team in Port Macquarie. The Senior Engineering Officer is responsible for the implementation of processes and the analysis, design, planning, execution, and technical evaluations across a broad range of technical functions, site construction, review and remediation including development of new criteria and applications of knowledge and procedures across the Energy Network. The role will also require project management responsibility for the evaluation, design programs of work, and validation of equipment and systems and managing the development of broad plans, budgets, and strategies About your experience Extensive experience in a similar engineering role in the Energy/Electrical and/or Utilities Industry Knowledge and application of current network design philosophies, procedures, statutory requirements and Essential Energy Electrical Safety Rules Demonstrated experience to utilise analytical and technical knowledge to manage activities during planned and unplanned events providing appropriate solutions to technical/engineering issues in the Energy Network Technical environment Management of business unit tasks for self and others in a proactive manner that promotes the role Strategic organisational contingency plans and information systems Required Qualifications Associate Degree of Civil Construction (Engineering and Management) Driver License WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Cert Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business required licences, authorisations and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role Desirable Level 3 Restricted Zone Substation access Why Essential Energy We offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience and 16% superannuation.
