Job Description About the role The Production Engineer is responsible for applying routine systematic approaches to solve problems using disciplined engineering techniques. The role is also responsible for applying knowledge to the development of products and designs that support the product development and product goals of EOS. As a Production Engineer you will require engineering technical knowledge across specialist disciplines and the ability to apply strategic alignment, adherence to governance and standards and interacting with people in cross functional teams. In this role you will: Provide production engineering support to the manufacturing group. Support other work groups within EOSDS to ensure that relevant issues associated with bedding down in manufacturing new products and processes are managed. Provide support to engineering development to ensure production requirements are raised and resolved in the design phase as required to ensure efficient production. Undertake the design and development of the production files, aid jigs and fixtures. Undertake the development of production procedures for new products. Coordinate, monitor and analyse production metrics. Use metrics to minimise production of parts out of specification. Undertake an evaluation/analysis and suggest improvements to production procedures and workflows. Mentor Production Engineers in support of production objectives. Provide production capacity support when available. Monitor and report any WHS or security issues to the Lead Production Engineer. Adhere to and ensure understanding and compliance with company procedures to achieve a safe and secure work environment. Desired Skills and Experience Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production/engineering related role is essential. The ability to understand, communicate effectively influence in order to implement business requirements. Experience with multi-disciplinary teams in a structured product. A collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills and a passion and aptitude for problem solving. development or project engineering environment is desirable. Experience in Defence sector is desirable.
