About the role The Cyber Security Engineering team is looking for a Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for building, developing, configuring, and implementing automated techniques and cyber security controls to prevent attacks from malicious threat actors for all Water Corporation systems. Experience in reviewing and improving security controls across security technology is essential: network security, firewalls, email controls etc SPF, DKIM,DMARC, Endpoint Detection and Recovery, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Privileged Access Management. You will address cybersecurity incidents by containing, remediating, and recovering business systems to maintain their integrity and minimize the impact of these events. Additionally, you will create or modify cyber security controls to prevent future occurrences. On top of this, you will have substantial experience in secure network design and management, and the planning, design, acquisition or operational delivery of cyber security infrastructure. You will be someone with considerable experience in IT, including exposure to business planning, systems analysis, application development or Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). What the role will involve: Design or validate security configurations and access to security infrastructure tools in alignment with Water Corporation’s cyber security strategy, principles and threat management practices. Research, design, and implement cyber security solutions for organisation systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards. Undertake the crucial role of the day-to-day administration of security infrastructure related to data security, cloud security services and Water Corporation systems to ensure protective measures remain effective against the dynamic cyber threat landscape. Provide guidance and remediate vulnerabilities and threats to Water Corporation systems and participate in identifying and analysing security threats and risks and implement security controls to mitigate threats and risks. Provide security input into changes, designs and design reviews of OT and IT Infrastructure, applications, and OT/IT system communications.
