Your work will span various sectors, including VAE Mechanical projects, commercial buildings, government projects, and refurbishments. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as Project Managers, Mechanical Contractors, Builders, and Suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Some of the key responsibilities will include: Participate in sales design reviews, analyze project requirements, and generate sales estimates. Evaluate customer sites for installation needs, design installations, and produce dilapidation reports. Design, implement, and document Building Management System (BMS) controls. Create functional descriptions, specifications, points lists, schedules, system architectures, and other topologies. Prepare construction correspondence such as submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs). Plan and schedule project execution, provide status updates on all assigned tasks, and demonstrate the ability to work independently. Offer technical guidance to project team members. Record and communicate all technical issues or risks to the relevant stakeholders. Ensure the project’s commissioning, testing, and final tuning are completed on time and documented. Manage the budget related to engineering. Coordinate with subcontractors and manage all technical aspects of your assigned projects. Desired Skills and Experience What we are looking for The successful candidate will demonstrate their work experience in similar roles, a solid understanding of HVAC fundamentals and equipment and BMS controls, and the following attributes: 5 years plus of BMS/HVAC Project work in the construction and or service industry. Tertiary or trade qualification in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Systems, or Computer Science (or related discipline). Past experience integrating systems with electrical, hydraulic, fire, vertical transport, security, CCTV, mechanical, IT and other systems via BACnet, MODBus, LON, OPC, SNMP, API, MQTT and web services; Experience working with IP Networks / ICT systems in relevant applications. Experience in writing code applications and marcos using in VB or similar (desirable) Commercial application of design to meet both clients’ requirements and budget/s Excellent Team player as well as able to work independently. Tridium Niagara (preferred) or similar experience. DISTECH Controls experience (desirable). Restricted Electrical Licence. Valid Drivers Licence.
