We are upgrading our Brisbane plant immediately – moving to a larger site, new layout, adding new processes and equipment. The Role We are recruiting for a Group Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This role will lead a small team delivering capital and manufacturing engineering projects across the company. Your initial focus will be our Brisbane plant upgrade – planning and project managing relocate to a larger facility to support production volume growth and vertical integration. This will include site selection, site preparation, plant layout design, equipment transfer, new process development, and new equipment selection and installation. Later you will deliver a new greenfields plant – designing and executing a new manufacturing facility to support production volume growth associated with international expansion and new product lines. This will include site selection, plant layout design, facility construction, process development, equipment selection & installation, pre-commissioning and ramp-up, and plant operations handover. Your team will also support day-to-day manufacturing operations – delivering manufacturing engineering improvements within a LEAN methodology for our two existing production lines. This role reports to our Operations Director and is based in Brisbane. We will provide company support for relocation and work visa for the right candidate. You will be a highly organised, with a structured approach, strong work ethic, and relentless drive to deliver the required outcome. You will be a strong ‘first principles thinker’ who can engage with technical subjects across a range of disciplines. You will be passionate about manufacturing and a true believer in the power of LEAN. You will likely have the following experience: · Engineering degree in relevant discipline · Strong manufacturing engineering experience (including new processes & equipment) · Strong project management experience (including plant relocation, expansion or new build) · Strong career progression in manufacturing (‘clear A-player’) · Strong LEAN experience (driving the change, not just relying on consultants) Why This Role?
