About the Role: As a Civil Engineer based in Townsville, you'll play a vital role in assisting the Project Manager throughout all phases of project delivery. Your responsibilities will encompass project planning and execution, stakeholder collaboration, resource management, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities: Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend practical solutions. Plan, organize, and manage resources to meet project targets. Communicate project goals to the team, ensuring a clear understanding of daily priorities. Review engineering drawings and quantities, working closely with supervisors to select appropriate materials and equipment. Maintain accurate records of daily costs and production. Prepare progress claims and manage project Quality Assurance (QA) documentation. Monitor on-site safety, quality, and environmental issues, taking proactive measures. Ensure proper control and distribution of drawings and documents in line with Quality Assurance System requirements. Report non-conformances and propose improvements to the Project Manager. Assist in identifying critical project stages and coordinate project meetings. Manage subcontractors for variations and defects, ensuring high standards of work. Provide guidance and support to Graduate Engineers. Qualifications and Experience: General safety induction card. Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field. Strong understanding of the civil construction industry and modern engineering practices. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Project.
