As our site Process Development Engineer within R&D, you’ll be responsible for leading the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes on-site, and modification of current manufacturing processes, to make the best products possible for our customers and meet our business needs. You’ll also support problem solving and optimising of current manufacturing processes to meet business needs, and provide technical support & mentoring of other associates. What would be your key responsibilities? Lead the identification, assessment and implementation of new and modified manufacturing processes on-site Define the R&D requirements for new or modified manufacturing processes to meet all project objectives. Define, plan and execute validation plans to determine if R&D requirements are met and work with stakeholders to close any gaps. Provide high quality technical advice and support to Associates about new, current or modified manufacturing processes. Utilize CI/Lean tools such as Six sigma to identify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality . Work with Quality and Food Safety to resolve any non-conforming products because of process related issues. What are we looking for? At least 2 years’ experience in a technical role within a similar industry, preferably as a lead or key technical contributor on behalf of R&D. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field (e.g. Food Science, Biology, Chemistry). You thrive working autonomously and can think quickly on your feet to resolve issues. Good influencing skills and ability to present data. Self-motivated individual with strong ambition to deliver results.
