As a Network Engineer at Chamonix IT Solutions, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our clients' network infrastructure. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, you will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure secure and efficient network operations. This role may involve working with clients in Microsoft-centric environments, and the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of networking concepts and technologies. How will you help contribute to our success? Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement robust and scalable network solutions, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. Evaluate and optimize existing network infrastructure to enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Implement network monitoring tools and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network performance and minimize downtime. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide network solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations and procedures. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in networking, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance Chamonix's network capabilities. What skills does our ideal candidate have? Minimum 5 years working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) specifically supporting network and security infrastructure. Network Design and Implementation: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions. Security Integration: Strong understanding of network security principles, with experience in implementing security measures. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proficiency in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies. Collaboration and Documentation: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, coupled with meticulous documentation habits. Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and software, with experience in both on-premises and cloud-based environments. Certifications in Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and CompTIA Network are desirable. Must hold Australian citizenship. What’s in it for you?
