About the role The Mater at Home team is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join us in either a part time (30.24 hours a week) or full time (38 hours a week) opportunity to cover maternity leave for 9 months. This role is based at Mater’s South Brisbane Campus . Salary range: $36.52 - $40.81 (MCA 3) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits What you’ll be doing Your role as a team member, with a focus on medical administration will involve, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Handling Inquiries: Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely and courteous manner. Reception Area Management: Keep our reception area not just tidy, but a welcoming oasis for all staff and visitors. Maintaining Confidentiality: Manage and maintain accurate files, records, and discussions with the utmost discretion, adhering to all administrative and financial policies. Administrative Support: Dive into tasks like data entry, referral management, client appointment bookings, customer service & ensuring everything is in its right place. Departmental Collaboration: Liaise effortlessly with various departments, fostering smooth communication and workflow. Senior Management Support: Offer indispensable support to our senior management, making sure their administrative needs are met with excellence. This role will directly report to the Mater at Home Business Support Lead and indirectly to the Director of Mater at Home. About you Previous administration experience working in a multi-disciplinary healthcare environment; Previous experience using health information systems; Confident (intermediate) user of the Microsoft Office suite, including Teams; Clear and empathic communicator with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service; High level literacy skills, excellent phone manner and ability to convey information accurately and effectively with discretion; Ability to critically analyse complex information, and problem solve using own initiative to deliver solutions, escalate appropriately to seek guidance and influence others; Strong attention to detail and highly organised, with the ability to balance conflicting demands and prioritise business requirements; A quick learner with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple systems, functions and processes; Ability to maintain composure when confronted with a challenging situation; Demonstrated ability to operate both autonomously and within a large in a multi-disciplinary team.
