We are currently seeking to appoint new team members to work in our dynamic environment and support our growth plans. The Opportunity HeliMods are seeking an experienced Electronics or Electrical Engineer with between 3-5 years of relevant industry experience that has a real passion for technology and innovation. This position involves the design and development of aircraft subsystems and units, including wiring harnesses, printed circuit boards, firmware and software. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to extend past design and development into the associated certification, test, production and through-life support of our systems. You will additionally support the HeliMods 21J engineering activities including assessing engineering changes and engineering investigations, and compliance verification of changes, with career development pathway opportunities towards becoming an Authorised Person under the HeliMods 21J Approved Design Organisation framework. If successful, you will be working on exciting new products for our civil and military clients, building new organisational capability, and will be responsible within your team for timely, high-quality delivery against challenging project targets. Skills, Experience and Qualifications A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any relevant engineering discipline but particularly interested in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, computer systems and avionics engineering 3-5 years relevant aerospace, electrical or electronic engineering industry experience Familiarity with coding languages such as C/Python for embedded firmware development and system integration Basic understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) protocols like MQTT and IPv4/IPv6 network fundamentals for potential connectivity applications Experience with design software and simulation tools software for circuit design and analysis would be highly rated (Altium, Zuken) Experience in Product Lifecycle Management software (Siemens Teamcenter preferred) Demonstrated experience conducting reviews of systems and PCBAs for embedded systems The energy, intelligence and initiative to proactively overcome industries’ toughest challenges A structured approach to working with an ability to deliver despite ambiguity that allows you to thrive in a highly autonomous environment A top performer in this role will Deliver outstanding work with minimum guidance, managing time and priorities efficiently and effectively.
