The Role Due to an internal promotion, my client has a wonderful opportunity for a Business Services Officer to join the team. In an environment of strong teamwork and collaboration, this is a very broad role with plenty of variety. You will provide local office management to the Townsville team as well as contributing as a shared resource to the company’s Business Services team. This includes, but is not limited to:- Microsoft Word document proof reading and formatting utilising advanced Microsoft Word; Data entry – using ERP software (Deltek Vision); Booking travel and coordinating equipment and supplies for consultants’ field trips to remote parts of Australia; Maintaining a smooth running office including occasional errands, arranging courier deliveries and maintaining office supplies; Coordinating team social events; Participating in team meetings and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of business services; and Special projects work – there are many areas where you can make great contributions to stimulating projects across the business, based on your skills and interest areas. About You Ideally from a legal, professional consulting or Executive / Personal Assistance background, you will have comprehensive expertise in administration and business services support. With intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word experience you will be comfortable with, or have the aptitude to advance your skills in, ToC, Referencing, Figures and Tables. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in proof reading and professional presentation of comprehensive reports in a consistent format. Exposure to working with ERP software would be beneficial, but is not essential. You will also need to have:- An attentive, upbeat and professional approach to administrative support Excellent prioritisation and time management skills An obsession for accuracy Strong affinity for utilising various business management software programs and embracing technology Willingness to take on a wide range of responsibilities from the basics of maintaining office essentials to driving project success Townsville as your base, with the ability to work onsite initially for 5 days and then optional hybrid work arrangements offered after 3-6 months The Company My client is a professional consulting firm, supporting the advancement and sustainability of business, communities, and our environment.
