We are seeking a creative, dynamic, and experienced educator to take on the role of Head of Department for Mathematics. Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Provide visionary leadership for the Mathematics Department, promoting a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement. Curriculum Development: Lead the development and implementation of innovative curriculum strategies that engage and inspire students across all year levels. Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction in Stage 6 Physics, Junior Science, and Mathematics, using a range of teaching methodologies to meet diverse student needs. Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning across the school. Mentorship: Support and mentor staff within the department, fostering professional growth and encouraging best practices in teaching. What We Are Looking For: Qualifications: A formal teaching qualification at the degree level. Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role within a school setting is highly desirable, but not essential. Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team of educators. Compliance: A current Working with Children Check in NSW and registration (or eligibility to register) with NESA to teach in New South Wales. Passion: A genuine passion for Mathematics and Science education, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
