Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science and Chemistry lessons in line with the Victorian Curriculum, focusing on Years 7-12. Develop and implement practical and theoretical lessons that inspire curiosity and a deep understanding of scientific concepts. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring proper use of all laboratory equipment and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive and challenging Science curriculum that meets the needs of all students. Support students in preparing for assessments, including VCE Chemistry exams, through targeted instruction and revision sessions. Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the Science department’s ongoing development. Skills/Qualifications: A relevant teaching qualification and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). Experience teaching Science and Chemistry at the secondary level, with a deep understanding of curriculum planning and assessment. Strong knowledge of laboratory practices, safety protocols, and the ability to conduct experiments that enhance student learning.
