About the role The Electrical Reliability Team has an opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer. This role reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer and is responsible for maintaining and improving the process control system, software and PCN infrastructure. This is a permanent full-time role working on a Monday - Friday Roster (38 hr week with option for 9 Day compressed fortnight) based residentially in the Parkes region of NSW. Flexible Work Arrangements will be considered for the right candidate. Responsibilities include Execute implementation of control system changes ensuring safety in operation, quality of work, change management and control system standards are met. Ensure reliable operation of the electrical control systems across the mine infrastructure and fixed plant Instigate and manage improvement projects that are supported by Condition Monitoring information, Root Cause Analysis, asset management recommendations or stakeholder's feedback Continuously audit performance and identify improvement opportunities in the area of process control and network infrastructure. Essential criteria As a minimum, a Degree/Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation, Operational Technology (OT) related discipline, Mechantronic or Electrical Engineering. Higher qualifications are encouraged to apply. Minimum 4 years' experience in ICT/PCN field - preference for this experience to be gained in mining, manufacturing or heavy industry. Experience with the following: PLC/DCS/SCADA (Schneider Unity, CitectSCADA, Beckhoff, Rockwell RS Logix) and OPCDA Industrial Ethernet networking infrastructure and systems. Industrial fieldbuses (Profibus, CAN bus, Modbus, ASi) The successful candidate will require strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders. Whilst not essential, preference will be given to candidates with experience in a customer support environment who have previously worked in a commissioning or fault-finding capacity.
