We now have an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join our team in Thomastown VIC, until July, 2026. Reporting to the Team Lead - Maintenance Strategy, this position supports implementation of Equipment Strategies Program for Networks assets. Key Responsibilities Lead FMECA and RBI analysis of in scope Networks assets with the output of both mitigating and measurable inspection tasks. Facilitate the Asset Criticality assessment for new and existing assets for the prioritisation of Networks preventative maintenance tasks. Facilitate the development of detailed standard job plans aligned to the asset’s technical information. Utilising Maximo, the spare parts required for each preventative maintenance task for every Networks asset are clearly identified and readily available for Operations to utilise as required. Create a framework of standards, procedures, and processes to be used by APA Networks to efficiently manage its assets, ensuring a consistent quality of output. Your background Engineering bachelor’s degree and strong relevant industry experience Experience preferred but not essential within Oil & Gas or similar heavy industries (utilities, mining, rail etc.) Experience in developing RCM and RBI based maintenance strategies. Competence in handling, managing and mapping large data sets and working with CMMS/ERP, preferably Maximo. Ability to read P&ID diagrams and other engineering drawings. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills as well as effective communication and influencing ability. About the Team Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
