Your day to day will consist of Perform routine, preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance, design and build management of the fibre backbone network, installation and commissioning activities of telecommunications equipment deployed in the Optus exchange and field environment. Develop & maintaining knowledge of the equipment and network function sufficient to perform restoration and maintenance competently. Critique circuit schematics and identify problems prior to service implementation. Undertake acceptance testing activities for new equipment. Work with field engineers to provision and commission new services. What makes you perfect for the role? Diploma in Telecommunications engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of BNS, switching, transmission, fibre & mobile networks. Experience with fibre network build and design. Hold a current Driving License, automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
