We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our Engineering and Planning team on the East Coast of Australia (Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne). Reporting to the Team Lead Rotating, you will play an instrumental role in providing engineering services to the Operations and Maintenance teams and stakeholders. Services include working proactively to manage changes, to deliver reliability improvements in line with the asset management framework, while supporting reactive maintenance/repair as a priority. The position will involve some site travel to engage directly with O&M and understand equipment/issues. Key Responsibilities Provide front-line operational technical support for rotating equipment assets. This includes being available for rostered after-hours support. Review and manage operational engineering requests, prioritising and executing them based on risk and criticality. Facilitate incident investigations/root cause analysis (RCA) and produce reports with actions to prevent recurrence. Manage changes to rotating equipment, facilitate obsolescence management, drawing updates, and change management as needed. Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of industry best practice maintenance strategies for rotating equipment. Foster strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. Support development and improvement of condition monitoring practices enabling prediction of future failures for key equipment types (compressor, engines, generators, pumps, etc.), and preventative maintenance optimisation. About You Hold a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in gas transmission/production, power generation, or another heavy industrial sector is preferred. Equivalent experience in other engineering fields will also be considered. Experience working with rotating equipment preferably including turbines, compressors, and pumps. Proficient in incident investigation/RCA and reporting. Familiarity with risk assessments and risk management processes. Proven track record of delivering business improvement outcomes in maintenance, reliability, and asset inspection.
