The Role PLC invites applications for a full-time, 12-month parental leave replacement position of Art Teacher (Years 7-10). This role requires an educator with specialty in teaching ceramics and sculpture, including the ability to manage a kiln. Exposure to other media (e.g. creative digital art and photography) would also be well regarded. This role would suit an accomplished art educator who is keen to apply their knowledge and skills within a leading independent girls’ school. You will enjoy working with a highly accomplished team of art educators who are focused on creative, reflective development of curriculum and outcomes for our students. About You You are an accomplished and engaging Art Teacher who is experienced and passionate about working with ceramics and sculpture. Through your teaching practice, you are able to inspire and foster student interest and excellence in these subject areas. We are seeking an individual who will have the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students. You will also have the ability to work proactively and collaboratively with your peers, to effectively plan and deliver units of work and related assessments.
