Position Overview: Our clients is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Civil Estimator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and large-scale infrastructure developments. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding their bid strategy and ensuring the financial viability of their projects. Key Responsibilities: Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed and accurate estimates for civil infrastructure projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and other documentation. Bid Strategy Development: Collaborate with project managers and executive leadership to develop competitive bid strategies that align with business objectives. Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and optimize cost efficiency. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure all components of the estimate are covered. Cost Analysis: Conduct comprehensive cost analysis, including labor, materials, equipment, and overheads, to ensure estimates are aligned with market trends and project specifications. Documentation: Prepare and present detailed estimate reports, cost breakdowns, and project proposals to internal and external stakeholders. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Qualifications: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil estimating, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proficiency in estimating software and strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and principles. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to a variety of audiences.
