Fantastic opportunity for a Civil Leading Hand Salary starting $72,705 per annum Super Work / Life Balance, 38 hours per week About the role Do you have previous civil construction experience in a leading hand role? Are you looking for a local community-based role with a work-life balance? This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate be responsible for managing all civil construction crews, plant, and subcontractors to ensure construction works assigned to you are completed on time, within budget and adhere to the required technical, safety and environmental standards. Working in collaboration with the Supervisor you will be responsible for reporting all relevant site activities to and actively contributing to and maintaining the WH&S management system in line with the required standards. We are looking for an experienced leading hand who strives for the highest levels of site safety and can apply effective strategies in the minimisation and elimination of hazards and risks. Collaborate and share your knowledge in planning sessions for projects to ensure a full understanding of the scope or works, specific conditions and requirements of upcoming works. Please note from time to time this position will require the successful candidate to work outside of the Coffs harbour LGA, allowances paid as applicable. You can apply sound judgment and decision making to solve construction problems both in the planning stages and during construction. You can interpret construction drawings and understand construction specifications to ensure works are carried out in accordance with design and quality requirements. You understand and have experience in the technical processes involved and undertake construction of flexible and rigid road pavements. You understand concrete formwork, finishing and curing processes. You have experience in the construction of sewer and water main infrastructure in accordance with design drawing. Essential Qualifications and Experience required for this position. Certificate IV in Civil Construction or demonstrated comprehensive civil infrastructure construction experience. Work Cover General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) Demonstrated experience supervising the construction of stormwater, potable water, sewer reticulation, steel reinforced concrete structures, earthworks and road pavements, concrete formwork, steel fixing and associated works. Experience in leadership, supervision and management of staff, suppliers, and subcontractors What's on offer? $72, 705.00 per annum 11.5% Superannuation Permanent Full Time , 38 hours per week Monthly Rostered Day Off Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years .
