We have an exciting opportunity… For a Systems Engineer to join the team at IntoWork Australia. You will be joining a highly experienced team supporting the IntoWork Group of businesses. The Role: The IT Systems Engineer operates within the IT Operations Team to deliver a stable, secure, high performing Technology Platform and Wide Area to IntoWork Australia and the IntoWork Australia Group of Companies. They will be responsible for ensuring systems and network uptime service levels agreements (SLAs) are maintained, information and networks are secured and performance benchmarks for the network and business critical systems are met. Level 3 incident and problem resolution will form part of the role however proactive maintenance and preventative action will be the primary focus. Duties include: Actively protect IntoWork's information systems and technology environments from security breaches and threats, from both internal and external sources. Development and testing of robust disaster recovery plans. Where possible deliver fault tolerance and redundancy within IntoWork Group systems. Maximise uptime of IntoWork Australia networks, servers and information systems. Actively monitor and report on network sensors using IntoWork Network Operations Wide Area Network monitoring platform. Create and edit network monitoring sensors and structures within the Network Operations Wide Area Network monitoring platform. Implement risk minimisation / mitigation procedures for all system modification and IT project work. Proactive scaling of the IntoWork Australia Wide Area Network, IaaS and SaaS solutions as well as self-hosted server infrastructure to meet the demands of the organisation, including rapid growth. Network and application benchmarking to ensure IntoWork's Information Services Platform remains fit for purpose. Work on and effectively prioritise multiple technical projects and project tasks to limit work in progress and bring projects to completion. Identify opportunities to increase IntoWork IT Department and IntoWork Group business efficiencies through automation, and Group Policy development About you: Expert knowledge of TCP / IP networking, routing protocols and DNS principles. High level knowledge of the Microsoft server environment and Active Directory management. High level knowledge and enterprise experience in development, testing and deployment of Windows network configuration via Microsoft Group Policy. High level knowledge of Microsoft Powershell to administer Microsoft server based systems and applications. Ability to administer corporate level LAN, Wi-Fi and WAN solutions. High level knowledge of Mail flow and Mail Server management. High level knowledge of network security, e.g. UTM, DMZ and firewall solutions. Experienced in administration of numerous server operating systems and hypervisor including but not limited to Linux / UNIX, Windows, VMware / Hyper-V. Recent experience with storage systems (NAS/SAN) and related technologies. Previous experience Veeam Backup solutions. Previous experience administering environments containing large numbers of users across multiple Active Directory domains, cross-forest trusts and Windows Server platforms. First hand exposure to cloud solutions, IaaS and/or SaaS administration, including but not limited to Office 365, AWS, Azure and Salesforce. Previous experience in networking monitoring, benchmarking and proactive incident resolution. Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.
