The Role Toll People are seeking an Automation Engineer to optimize GTP infrastructure efficiency, support Preventative Maintenance, collaborate with teams, and develop high-efficiency procedures, for one of our Industry Leading clients in Truganina. Key Responsibilities Analysing and collaborating with the DC Planning function, and the DC Operations team, in order to most effectively plan GTP, and supporting functions labour requirements, in particular, fault chasers across all shifts; Providing feedback into the DC Planning team to help refine Wave (and waveless) planning processes, within a PDCA cycle; Developing GTP procedures to cope with Low, Medium and High periods of demand, and ensure the GTP infrastructure remains at high efficiency in each demand setting; Working with both system parameters and operational data to model and implement strategies to maximise output and drive excellent DOT, predictable lead time and lowest cost to serve; and All GTP operations from decant through to Putwall and future pouch operations and will also be familiar with SSI infrastructure across the DC. Skills & Experience Diploma Essential, Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering desirable. 3-5 years in warehousing/logistics experience desired. Team leadership experience, including in communicating, influencing and interacting with people at different levels. Hands on experience in GTP systems - Schaefer systems or other automation systems. Experience in supporting and driving a safety culture.
