SAGE are continuously investing in the future pool of talent and now seeking the next annual intake of Electrical Apprentices. SAGE has an exciting opportunity available for Apprentice Electricians (x4) to join the Adelaide team. You will work in conjunction with Qualified Electricians to gain practical experience and training to become a qualified Electrical Tradesperson through the combination of 'on the job training' and 'off the job education' at a third-party training provider to obtain a Certificate III in Electrotechnology over a four-year period. The successful candidates' tasks will include, however are not limited to: Develops and constructs control panels, switchboards, distribution boards, loom & cables. Develop a practical understanding of the way technical drawings are read interpreting basic to medium complexity as per the apprentice competency matrix. Assist with the design and production of custom-made pieces and components including mechanical assembly of modular systems and components. Inspect and test panels for faults as per documentation, correct any identified faults. Rotate through relevant various areas of manufacturing (and site services) to gain experience and knowledge. Successfully complete each year of the trade school modules and complete internal and external training modules each year. Essential skills & experience Working towards the completion of an Electrician trade qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology - Electrician). Various levels of computer literacy skills - including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite of Programs as per competency matrix. A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment. Strong work ethic and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work to a budget and tight deadline. Responsible, reliable and trustworthy. Embrace and promote the company vision, values and culture. Contribute to knowledge sharing and continual improvement. Strong attitude to continuous learning and self-improvement Adhere to company processes, policies and procedures. Desirable skills & experience Demonstrated proactive experience in relevant complementary activities i.e. work experience in similar industries, student work experience placements and/or prevocational education. Self-Interests or hobbies in technology, engineering, construction, machining etc, utilising hand tools and digital solutions. Key requirements Australian driver's licence. Must have the right to work in Australia. Able to obtain National Police History Check. Company medical.
