About the role We are looking for a Junior Legal and Compliance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with various departments to offer comprehensive legal support and ensure our adherence to financial services licensing requirements. Your responsibilities will include analyzing legal documents and assisting in the implementation of compliance initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities: Legal Guidance: Provide legal advice on company operations, including the review, preparation, and amendment of relevant legal documentation. Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with third parties; ensure timely exchange of information. Departmental Collaboration: Work with Sales, Back Office, Human Resources, and Marketing to gather necessary information and update operational procedures Marketing Compliance: Assist in developing marketing plans and review materials for compliance. Policy Development: Help develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs. Training Management: Maintain and organize compliance training programs to ensure adherence to the company's Staff Training Policy and regulatory requirements. Compliance Program Support: Contribute to the enhancement and implementation of compliance projects and controls. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Law or related field. Advanced degree preferred. In-depth knowledge of Corporations Law and financial regulations. Exceptional drafting skills with a proven ability to produce clear, precise, and effective legal documents. Minimum of two years of experience in compliance or legal roles, preferably in the financial services industry. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
