Description The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Lounge & Bar Manager to support the Lounge & Bar Manager in the daily operations of The Ritz-Carlton Lobby Lounge & Cameo Bar. This role is perfect for an individual who excels in a luxury environment, collaboratively ensuring that the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction are consistently met. You will assist Lounge & Bar Manager in overseeing shift operations, supervising employees, and maintaining inventory controls and achieving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Support Lounge & Bar Manager in managing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service across shifts. Assist in rostering, leading, training, and motivating the lounge and bar team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Help implement strategies to enhance revenue and guest engagement under the guidance of the Lounge & Bar Manager. Assist with beverage control, including inventory management, cost control, and adherence to portion standards. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal beverage and liquor regulations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints in collaboration with the Lounge & Bar Manager, ensuring positive outcomes. Work closely with the culinary team to assist in developing and promoting food and beverage pairings. Assist in monitoring financial performance, helping to adjust operations to meet budgetary goals. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, supporting teamwork and professional growth. Assist in onboarding and training new team members to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional service. About You: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required. Full-time working rights required. RSA Certificate required. Experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end bar is highly desirable. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the Lounge & Bar Manager. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining luxury service excellence and attention to detail. A passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality service.
