MacKillop Education Waranara is a Specialist Assistance School that caters for students from Years 9-12 who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream education. It provides the opportunity for Young People who are experiencing mental health issues and significant life challenges to re-engage with education. This is a permanent Fulltime position based at Waranara School in Annandale commencing in Term 1 (January) 2025. About the role: We are seeking a teacher to take on a leadership role at Mackillop Education Waranara School as a Teaching Curriculum Coordinator. This position is ideal for an experienced educator who is ready to oversee and enhance our curriculum while ensuring NESA compliance. You will lead the coordination of disability provisions and supervise our learning support staff, whilst driving excellence in teaching and learning. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing curriculum programs, maintaining comprehensive student records, and employing differentiated, student-centered strategies to boost student wellbeing and achievement. In this role, you will collaborate with staff, organisational leaders, and community partners to create positive outcomes for our students. Additionally, you will be instrumental in ensuring our school maintains a child-safe environment, meets all regulatory and funding requirements, and effectively manages risk. Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have: Experienced Teacher, preferably for NSW curriculum. Bachelor's degree in education. Demonstrate a well-being trauma informed approach to students Highly organised with lesson plans, marking, registers and reports.
