Brilliant benefits and a flexible hybrid work environment About the Role The Administration and Events Assistant for the Researcher Development Unit (RDU) will provide crucial administrative and events support, aiding in the delivery of professional development programs for researchers at all career stages. Reporting to the RDU Programs and Events Coordinator, this role will work closely with various University stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of RDU initiatives, fostering researcher development and collaboration across the University. Your responsibilities will include: Provide event administration and operational support for RDU programs, ensuring smooth execution and high participant satisfaction. Handle attendance tracking, email enquiries, and promotional activities to increase engagement and attendance rates. Comply with University systems such as Themis and iProcurement, while supporting administrative functions within the RDU. Attend meetings and collaborate with academics and professional staff, acting as a representative of the RDU and fostering positive stakeholder relationships. Who we are looking for You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities, and the ability to manage tasks and deadlines with attention to detail. Adaptable and able to multitask, you can handle changing priorities and solve problems effectively. With a solid understanding of the university sector, you have experience organising university or professional events. You will also have: Diploma-level qualification with relevant experience, or Certificate IV with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of event management platforms like LiveWhale, Eventbrite, or similar systems For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements please refer to the attached PD. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
