About the role This Product Sales Specialist role in Melbourne or Sydney is primarily responsible for lead generation and sales closure across their Analytical Instrumentation portfolio specifically across their Mass Spectrometry portfolio. The core responsibilities are to work alongside Product Managers and other Leaders to support clients across various markets. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets Understand the broader business areas and generate leads Gain a strong understanding of the customer's requirements and application needs on a technical level. Understand the regulatory environment these products and customers work within Assist the Product Management team to ensure inventory and product forecasting targets are met and customer/marketing expectations are achieved. Conduct sales demonstrations, and seminars and participate in customer engagement activities to support the growth strategy. Attend training events to ensure skills are maintained up-to-date and relevant for maximum benefit to the customer. Maintain a record of customer visits and interactions using the CRM platform salesforce.com completed by the end of each week About you Tertiary qualifications in Science or related subject areas are important Experience in a laboratory with hands-on experience using capital equipment - HPLC, LCMS, ICP-MS etc. Previous experience selling chemistry analytical equipment is highly regarded Technical understanding of markets, particularly within applied markets in the Science sector. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM system The successful candidate will be able to develop and nurture strong client relationships in the industry and will also have a clear career path in Commercial Science.
