The Role An exciting opportunity has become available for a driven individual to join our successful QLD/NT Sales Department. Located in Banyo, the primary purpose of the Technical Sales - Motors role is specifically aimed at increasing the revenue and growth of the WEG Motor business, achieved through direct engagement with customers and providing support to WEG sales staff (external & internal) and Business Partners (Distributors, O.E.M.’s, and Field Service Providers). Reporting to the Sales Manager - QLD/NT, the Technical Sales - Motors role assists with management of sales opportunities, order and product management tasks. These include analysis of technical specifications and company representation in meetings with engineering firms and end-users. The position has high administrative and technical content. Key Responsibilities include: Provide technical support to internal and external customers relating to the use, application and operation of WEG Motors Deliver product knowledge training to internal and external customers Prepare and manage product information Liaise with the WEG factories on commercial and technical matters concerning offers, orders the use and quality of WEG motors Summarise motor technical specifications Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales. Present WEG motors products to current and potential customers in online or face to face settings Ensure your work practice is following company policy and OH&S guidelines Perform allocated duties not specifically within this document but within the capacity qualifications and experience usually expected from a person occupying a position at this level Specific performance targets will be negotiated as a part of WEG Australia’s regular performance planning and review process Provide Sales quotations, price and availability to Business Partners About You Proficient with AC electric motors Knowledge of relevant IEC and Australian standards Good communication skills, able to communicate at all levels and present publicly Communication: Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write comprehensive and technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to critically analyse commercial contracts, from a legal standpoint, listing all necessary deviations to limit company exposure. Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
