We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Group Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts across our hotel and events space, while also expanding our reach into our broader hospitality offerings. Position Overview: As the Group Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving sales across our hotel accommodations and events space, with a focus on expanding our reach within the broader hospitality sector. You will lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, including the Event Sales Team, to achieve and exceed revenue targets. This role is integral to our business strategy, requiring a visionary leader with a proven track record in sales leadership within the hospitality industry. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals. This includes recruiting, training, and managing sales staff to ensure they are engaged and performing at their best. Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets. This involves setting sales goals, analysing market trends, and identifying opportunities for growth. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to foster customer loyalty and satisfaction . Sales Operations Management: Oversee all sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Use data analytics to assess sales performance, identify trends, and implement strategies for improvement . Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Use these insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge . Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives . Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Develop detailed and accurate sales reports for senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and strategic insights. Collaborate with finance teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and plans . Cost and Competition Analysis: Assess costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices and estimate sales volume and profit for current and new products. Qualifications: Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of inspiring and leading successful sales teams. Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on hotel and event sales. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Strong strategic thinking and market analysis skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Experience in implementing dynamic pricing/packaging strategies and optimising sales channels. A proactive and results-oriented approach, with a passion for driving business success.
