MaxMine is an automated business improvement product which performs advanced analytics and data science on operational data from mobile mining equipment to deliver significant cost savings and productivity gains to global miners. About The Role You’ll be part of our Operations team, reporting into the Head of Operations. You’ll work closely in a small, high performance team to integrate the MaxMine hardware products with our customers’ mining vehicles. Unlike many offerings out there, MaxMine people are core to the value we deliver to our customers, and you will be an integral part of this. Your responsibilities will include: Liaising with customers, suppliers and OEMs to develop design requirements Design and deployment of: Mechanical and mechatronics parts and assemblies Electrical harnesses Off-the-shelf hardware Integrating MaxMine’s proprietary IoT hardware with customers vehicle data systems Product configuration management and commissioning Document creation, such as: scoping, safety, training, drawings and work instructions Traveling to remote sites with the project team for design and integration projects Delivery of in-house mechanical/electronic products and continuous improvement initiatives About You We are looking for folks who are not afraid to get their hands dirty in order to deliver a big impact for our customers. Enjoy tinkering with hands on projects in the workplace or at home, using your solid understanding of practical engineering skills Prefer a mixture of office and site based work Your Skills & Experience A successful candidate should have the following skills and experience to be considered for this position: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or extensive experience & tertiary qualifications in a related field 2-5 years industry experience Proven mechanical & electronic design capability Proficient use of CAD software Experience with, or interest in learning use of Git repositories Working knowledge of C++ highly regarded but not mandatory Experience working with Linux operating systems Understanding of vehicle data systems and communication systems highly regarded Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel to remote sites in Australia and overseas Valid passport and driver's license Recent graduates and mechatronics enthusiasts that are able to demonstrate exceptional skills and experience are encouraged to apply.
