About The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Civil Designer to assist in the delivery of Council's Civil Design Program and provide detailed investigations, design, drafting, cost estimating and specifications for Council's civil engineering infrastructure. This will include the production of construction drawings and associated documentation to enable efficient planning and delivery of Infrastructure to the community. About You Minimum Associate Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) from a Washington Accord accredited body with relevant design experience in municipal engineering A minimum of 5 experience and knowledge in the design of civil infrastructure Proficiency with Civil Engineering Software (12d, AutoCAD), GIS (Arc, MapInfo), and stormwater design software (XPSWMM/STORM, XPRAFTS, 12d Drainage). High level of interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with a diverse range of clients, consultants and staff Ability to produce reports and accurate design records in accordance with relevant design standards and quality assurance system principles Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence and Construction Industry General Safety Induction White Card Well-developed team member attributes and teamwork skills, and achievement in providing quality support and guidance to other staff.
