Snr Administration Assistant required for helping supervise a small team, monitor and assist with all day to day Company accounts activities Senior Administration Assistant - Cairns As our Senior Administration Assistant, you will be asked to help with supervision, monitor and assist with day-to-day accounting activities, in an administration office which supports three local and privately owned General Practices. In addition, you will assist the CFO to evaluate, develop and implement systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting financial processes and policies. Initially you will learn all the procedures within the Accounts Department, to gain an understanding of the Company's needs, and for future team training requirements, overseeing a small office team of between 4 and 6 full time employees. The successful applicant will have a high level of technical and compliance skills with a strong understanding of and an ability to apply Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Taxation Legislation. Also demonstrating an exemplary level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. The ability to both lead and work autonomously, encouraging and supporting others, as part of a high performing team, in achieving the business' objectives is important to us. A key part of your ongoing position is the need to have a high level of organisation skills, attention to detail, with a proven ability to set self and group priorities and manage workloads to meet deadlines. Key responsibilities will include, however not limited to - Manage weekly payroll functions Arranging for all bills to be paid accurately and within time frames required Ensure the debtors of the company, are regularly paid Ensuring the financial and administration support is delivered efficiently and effectively and any improvements identified and acted on to discuss with the CFO Statutory reporting functions as needed Providing assistance to the CFO as and when required Skills and Experience required 2 to 3 years payroll experience Excellent proficiency in Excel Good knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Word Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of accuracy A collaborative team member with a high level of personal drive and self-motivation Able to work in a busy environment, being thorough and conscientious. Comfortable dealing with change, ambiguity and complex tasks Take specific direction, working closely with higher management, CFO and CEO Current Driver's Licence required, Police Check conducted Interested parties please send your CV with a cover letter.
