Are you an experienced legal professional with demonstrated experience working across multiple facets of in-house legal requirements and keen to support a fast-growing business as their first in-house Legal Specialist? This is an opportunity to join an ambitious digital marketing agency that is growing quickly globally and we now need someone to support us being able to scale our legal and compliance requirements. This is a highly visible and critical role for OMG where everything you do will impact the growth and success of the business, locally and globally. As a Legal Specialist, you will love this role because: This is an in-house role working in a very fast-paced environment with smart, ambitious, passionate people. You will work closely with several leaders in the business and external parties on a variety of work ranging from supplier contracts, sales agreements and employee relations matters. You dislike taking a passive, risk averse approach to legal matters and enjoy taking a proactive, creative and commercial approach to legal and compliance as an advisor to the business. We are an ambitious business and need someone who can support realising those ambitions, not operate as a barrier to being able to things done. Requirements You will know that this is the right role for you because: You are experienced in contract management supporting sales teams and vendor management, along with employee relations. If you have gaps in one of these areas of expertise, we would still encourage you to apply if you are interested as we are open to seeing how we could support you to succeed. Ideally, you will have had exposure to such matters outside of Australia, especially in the US. However, Australian-based legal qualifications and experience is a requirement for the role. You have a strong passion for data, reporting, drafting / reviewing agreements and working closely with your stakeholders. You take pride in having an almost pedantic attention to detail and the desire to adhere to protocols and process where they already exist - and able to develop processes and templates where they don't yet exist. You ideally have prior experience in either a startup or scaleup either as a solo in-house lawyer or working as the 2IC in a small in-house team. Your ability to communicate with your stakeholders and understanding how you can support them meeting their goals is exceptional.
