As a Lead Product Designer and an expert in human-centered design, you will spearhead the acceleration of AI application and ‘opportunity identification’ across our organisation. Your role will be pivotal in researching and pinpointing AI opportunities to maximise both customer satisfaction and business outcomes. You'll partner with fellow Product Designers to ensure a seamless end-to-end experience across multiple channels. Operating within an agile team, you will play a central role for product managers and stakeholders, driving design discovery, ideation, and delivery with a hands-on approach. You will manage a team of Product Designers, overseeing their projects, development, and performance. Additionally, you will provide design leadership within your team and the broader organisation, embodying our leadership values and fostering diverse opinions. Your day in the life of a Lead Product Designer: Collaborating with Product Owners and business partners to identify and prioritise future product development and conversational design initiatives. Conducting comprehensive research, encompassing planning, moderation, synthesis, and presentation of findings, while adhering to best practices from our Design Research Chapter. Ensure detailed designs are consistent with the Optus Design System and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards. Crafting and refining new customer journeys for conversational AI products, ranging from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity designs, including conversation mapping, interactive prototypes, and visual elements. Leading workshops with your multi-disciplinary team and other stakeholders to define challenges, brainstorm solutions, and develop actionable recommendations. Proposing and guiding experiments with clear hypotheses, using a structured prioritisation framework to test and validate solutions within a rigorous framework. Leading a team of one to five Designers and overseeing their work. Collaborating with Design leads from across the Design organisation to improve ways of working within the Chapters.
