The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects while meeting quality, safety, and client satisfaction standards. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and contractors to define project requirements, scope, and objectives. Ensure that construction projects align with safety regulations, industry standards, and client expectations. Provide effective leadership and mentorship to a team of construction engineers. Foster a safety-focused and collaborative work environment. Manage performance, set expectations, and provide guidance to ensure the team's success. Utilise in-depth knowledge of construction engineering principles, materials, and methods to guide project teams. Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications. Stay current with industry trends, codes, and regulations. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety protocols. Work closely with project managers to develop and manage project designs. Collaborate with clients to understand their project requirements and expectations. Proficiency in delivering engineering operations, particularly on the commissioning side. Drafting specifications and collaborating with project managers to guarantee successful project completion. Qualifications Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (5-10 years) in a leadership role in construction engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) licence preferred. Recognised by Engineering Australia – Chartered Engineering desirable. Skills Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and project design. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with construction software and project management tools. PLSCADD proficiency required.
