Working across multi-disciplinary teams within NSW Health. What You'll be Doing The Emergency Department Administration Officer provides a wide range of administration and clerical support with timely and accurate delivery of quality services and ensuring and maintaining a strong customer focused approach. Where You'll Be Working Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation. The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care. Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney. Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges. Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team and to maintain a professional attitude at all times. Ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment including the ability to organise and set work priorities to meet department benchmarks and KPI‘s. Demonstrate high level of computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills with knowledge of hospital information systems. Ability to follow correct procedures in patient registration and related administrative functions to ensure accurate capture of information Proven experience in a front-line customer service role and the ability to effectively use problem-solving and negotiating skills Ability to undertake patient related billing, receipting and cash handling. Demonstrated ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team as well as the ability to work independently and take initiative Ability to work a 24 hour, 7 days rotating roster.
