In this role, you'll manage home warranty claims, conduct inspections, and provide expert assessments. You'll collaborate with underwriters to meet financial targets and deliver top-notch customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background, thorough knowledge of Australian building standards, and excellent communication skills. This position offers the chance to shape claims strategy, mentor junior staff, and improve policies and procedures. The role would suit someone who has previous experience as a Site Surveyor, Quant Surveyor or Construction Surveyor looking for a new challenge offsite. You will need the ability to challenge building quotes and evaluate claims. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed inspections of construction sites and buildings, assessing defects with a deep understanding of Australian construction methods and standards. Use your qualifications in construction to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Evaluate Construction Warranty Insurance claims, including Domestic Building Insurance, HBCF, and Builders Indemnity Insurance, across South Australia, NSW, and Victoria. Proficiently use assessment tools and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Stay updated on building regulations, standards, and warranty guidelines, and understand legal aspects of construction defects and claims. Maintain relevant certifications and engage in professional development to keep up with industry changes. Ensure adherence to service standards and SLAs, providing high-quality service and technical expertise. Prepare detailed assessment reports and explain findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Investigate defects, recommend remedial actions, and collaborate with the team to achieve optimal outcomes. Lead strategy for the CWI product, mentor junior claims controllers, and work with leadership to enhance processes and efficiency.
