About the Role We are looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation. You will have the opportunity to work within a supportive team environment while also having the autonomy to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our participants. Responsibilities include assisting with personal health, fostering social connections, mentoring in developing skills and independence, and relationship building. About the Participant We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to provide dedicated support to our participant, an ambitious 19 year old man who enjoys a variety of hobbies including golf, laser tag and music. He has several other interests including the Australian Defence Force, Emergency Services and transport vehicles. From the age of 12, he was a junior member of the Rural Fire Service for five years. He has also tried his hand at several other work experience opportunities ranging from yard work to office tasks during his later years at school. The Support Worker will also be required to help reignite his motivation to participate in the community, assist him in achieving his goals, and provide mentoring to build his employment skills, acting as a bridge to relationships and career aspirations.
